AC Voltage Controller

 

Features

1.Voltage- 215 to 245 a/c at 45 to 55 Hz.

2.Firing angle variable from 180° to 0°

3.Ramp and pedestal control.

4.All firing pulses are terminated on the front panel.

5.All important test points are provided on front panel to study the waveforms using CRO.

Series Inverter

 

Features

1.This unit consists of power circuit and firing circuit sufficient to build and study the modified series inverter.

2.Firing Circuit: This part generates two pairs of isolated trigger inputs for two SCRs in the series inverter

3.ON/OFF switch is provided for the trigger pulses which can be used to switch ON the inverter.

4.Frequency of the inverter can be varied from 100Hz approximately and for that, potentiometer is provided on front panel.

5.Terminals provided on front panel for DC input 30V /2A maximum.

6.Fuse for DC input 2A Glass fuse.













 

Parallel Inverter

 

Features

1.Two isolated gate signals are provided for two SCRs with RC snubber provision.

2.All firing pulses are terminated on the front panel

3.All important test points are provided on front panel to study the waveforms using CRO.

4. SCR rated for 600v peak @ 10A provided and mounted on proper heat sink and protected by fuse with all terminals (G,A & K) terminated on the front panel.













Mc Murray Inverter


Features

1.Vdc INPUT- Terminals and switch to connect DC supply to the inverter.30V DC.

2.FUSE- 2A Glass fuse

3.T1,T1',T2,T2'- SCR's 12A/600V

4.L1/L2,L1'/L2'- 250 ' 0 ' 250 MH / 5A. Tightly coupled center tap inductors.

5.C1,C2,C1',C2'- Capacitors 10µ/100V

6.FREQUENCY- 50 to 200 Hz variable.
















Forced Commutation 


Features

1.POWER- Power ON/OFF switch to the unit with built-in indicator.

3.DUTY CYCLE- Potentiometer to vary the duty cycle from 10% to 90%approximately.

4.TRIG. OUTPUTON/OFF- ON/OFF Switch for mains pulse Transformer.

5.GATE / CAT- Positive and Negative points of trigger outputs to connect to Gate and Cathode of SCRs.5. GATE / CAT- Positive and Negative points of trigger outputs to connect to Gate and Cathode of SCRs.

6.V dc IN- 24V @ 2A unregulated DC supply is available at these terminals for DC source for the commutation power circuit.

DC Jones Chopper


Features

1.This firing unit provides triggering pulses for the Thyristors in auxiliary commutated chopper circuit

2.Work on 30V DC/2A.

3.Output Two pulse Transformer Isolated trigger pulses for main and auxiliary Thyristors.

4.Gate Drive current 200mA.

5.Auxiliary Gate pulse width100µsec.

6.Main Gate pulse width- Train of pulses.

7.Test points- 1 to 8 provides signals at various points of the logic circuit.

8.Duty cycle- Variation from 10% to 90%.

9. Frequency Variation from 30Hz to 300Hz approximately.

UJT Firing Circuit


Features

1.Mains: AC supply ON/OFF switch to the unit with built-in indicator.

2.AC:20V / 1A AC supply for UJT relaxation oscillator and SCR firing * from a step down

3.Filtering capacitor - 1000uF/35V to study relaxation oscillator using UJT.

4.Short Cf terminal to diode Bridge O/p to get filtered rectified DC and the works in asynchronous UJT relaxation oscillator mode.

5.Zener diode - 15V/1 Watt, to limit the supply to UJT.

6. Potentiometer to vary the firing angle in synchronous mode and to vary the frequency of oscillator in asynchronous mode.

Three Phase Half Controlled Converter


Features

1.Works on 440V, 3-Phase, 50Hz supply

2.Complete Isolation of pulses form input supply

3.3 pulses with common cathode are brought out on to the front panel.
